Hello I was wondering if anyone else gets the glitch of sticking to walls and shaking like you have seizure when you hit certain corners on most maps.
I use the latest SVN as always and just wondering if this is something i should be reporting, if so ill bind my screenshot and get it again but there isnt a 3rd party view to really show being immobilized during online games and single player.

I've never had this happen. Is this on a local game or are you on a particular server?

A demo would be helpful.
Maybe it's an issue with collision detection?

Please standby.
I have been trying to figure this out for several days, and making some progress. I noticed some strangeness on the 45 degree wall next to the sproing on dm-turbo2k8 while warming up for last Sunday's Martian Mayhem. Just discovered that it is somehow related to the cl_maxfps setting (ok with 90, not ok with 91 -- but that could depend on the computer system timing.)
I can reliably produce the strange behaviour, but tracking down the cause is a challenge.

Well, 90 FPS is divisible by the game's frametime (10 FPS) but 91 FPS is not.
(Gaming rig is packed away for the time being, can't test this personally. The only multiple of 10 I can get reliably get on my laptop is 10 and on some maps 20.)

Hiya Irritant and strat, I have never had this problem before and have been sticking to walls frequently over last two days, seems to only happen in areas where you jump at the wall where there is a 45 or thereabouts angle, my fps is capped at 120. Some times I can break away from it, mostly get helped by someones rocket tho Have asked around a little and while some say that it has always happened I only started experiencing it recently. It doesn't happen to me on local games, can reproduce effects nearly every time on server though, doesn't seem to matter which server or ping. Don't know if that helps but there it is, nice work on disruptor beam btw

The solution is: don't run and jump at walls that are at a 45 degree angle!!! Or maybe we could get the map makers to rotate all the maps 7 degrees counter-clockwise.
But, seriously, folks:
I suspect this "feature" has always been there, it just shows up more with faster computers. I think I have identified the problem, but will have to consult with the experts. May take a while to figure out the right solution.

You're absolutely right, that is the perfect solution!
It's not what I'd consider a problem, definitely not a show stopper
Notes to self: 1. Don't jump into 45 degree walls! 2. Maps now rotated 7 degrees
Frag ya L8r Strat.

Had quite a few on the Grave tonight on Warmachine and I think we all experienced it... neal, stirk, me, rifleman, xenos, etc etc... I know Emp's seen it, cause we were talking about it in IRC the other night. I've had it happen on several maps, new and old. Antilag isn't enabled on the grave, but it is on Southern Fried and Call of the West. Seems to be everywhere...

I think I made some progress on this, but need Irritant's take on it. What I don't understand is why it is showing up more now -- what I found is related to math code and probably hasn't changed in years.

Dunno ... gameplay in general has gotten very rough on graphics processing since 7.31/7.32... There's actually a bunch of us talking about it in IRC right now...
Check out any of the screenshots I've posted lately and you'll see what I've had to do to my graphics just to get playable frame rates on maps I used to lock in at 125fps.

Same m8 - lowest settings and i pull 35-70 fps on a map, moves around a lot, used to be constant 120 without shifting at one time. q9550 + nvid 260 here. Gonna try demoing on this + kers pc (e6600 + nvid 8800) as it seems to have effected her fps less heavily (tho she is a few weeks worth of svn behind i believe, i'll check when sober lol).
